This Door Supervisor + Emergency First Aid at Work for Security Workers course is designed for anyone looking to start work in the private security industry as a licensed Door Supervisor. It covers the core knowledge and practical skills required to apply for an SIA Door Supervisor licence, including professional standards and working practices, safety awareness and incident response, conflict management and communication, search procedures and good practice, and the physical intervention skills needed for the role. The course also includes Emergency First Aid at Work for Security Workers, giving you the confidence to deal with common workplace emergencies as well as security-relevant incidents such as the effects of drugs and alcohol, suspected acid attacks, and the management of life-threatening bleeding and other serious conditions until emergency services arrive.

Prerequisites

Before the course starts, learners must complete the required pre-learning materials, including the two ACT e-learning modules. You must also have a good enough level of English to pass the mandatory English assessment on day one of the course. All pre-course work and access details will be provided in plenty of time before the course date so you can complete everything at home ahead of attendance.

Cancellation / refund policy

Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit has been paid. Deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the course. If you cancel your booking more than 7 days before the course start date, you may be eligible for a refund of any amounts paid above the deposit; cancellations within 7 days of the course start date are not normally refundable due to short-notice costs. If we cancel or reschedule a course and you cannot attend the alternative date offered, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another available date.
