Door Supervisor Refresher + First Aid
This 3-day Door Supervisor Refresher + Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is for current SIA Door Supervisors who need to renew their licence and want to complete the required first aid training at the same time. It refreshes the key knowledge and practical skills you need to remain compliant, confident, and work-ready in the private security industry.
Across the Door Supervisor Refresher element, you’ll cover the latest standards and best practice for frontline door work, including professional conduct, safety awareness, dealing with incidents, and managing conflict. Where required, you’ll also refresh the practical elements linked to physical intervention in a safe, controlled environment.
The course also includes Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), helping you respond to common workplace emergencies and provide immediate care until medical help arrives. This is a practical, classroom-based course with clear guidance throughout.

What’s included
The Door Supervisor Refresher covers the key knowledge and practical skills required for SIA licence renewal, including professional standards and working practices, safety awareness and incident response, conflict management and communication, search procedures and good practice, and the physical intervention skills required for the role. The course also includes Emergency First Aid at Work for Security Workers, covering how to respond to common workplace emergencies as well as security-relevant incidents such as the effects of drugs and alcohol, suspected acid attacks, and the management of life-threatening bleeding and other life-threatening conditions until emergency services arrive.
Prerequisites
Before the course starts, learners must complete the required pre-learning materials, including the two ACT e-learning modules. You must also have a good enough level of English to pass the mandatory English assessment on day one of the course. All pre-course work and access details will be provided in plenty of time before the course date so you can complete everything at home ahead of attendance.

Cancellation / refund policy
Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit has been paid. Deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the course. If you cancel your booking more than 7 days before the course start date, you may be eligible for a refund of any amounts paid above the deposit; cancellations within 7 days of the course start date are not normally refundable due to short-notice costs. If we cancel or reschedule a course and you cannot attend the alternative date offered, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another available date.
